Commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the Victory of the Battle of Adwa


The Embassy of Ethiopia in Kampala in collaboration with the Department of Development Studies, Makerere University invite you to participate in a panel discussion on “The Victory of Adwa and Pan- Africanism”. The discussion is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 25th February 2021 from 1:30pm-4:30pm. The presentations will explore the importance of Adwa’s victory in further strengthening African Unity and in particular promoting Pan-Africanism.

4. Dr Asiimwe Godfrey – Associate Professor of Development Studies, Makerere University
Presentation – Lessons from Adwa to the Young Generation and Future of Pan-Africanism
