Biography

Dr. Babalanda Stanley is a dedicated scholar and assistant lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Makerere University, Uganda. With a first-class honors Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Kyambogo University and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from Makerere University, Dr. Babalanda’s academic journey reflects a deep passion for political science, particularly within the contexts of peace and conflict studies, security studies, and diplomacy. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Political Science, focusing on Violent Conflicts to further contribute to both academic knowledge and real-world peace building efforts.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Babalanda has demonstrated a strong commitment to research and teaching, with a particular emphasis on environmental security and political dynamics in Africa. His teaching experience spans multiple higher education institutions, including Makerere University, Kyambogo University, and Islamic University in Uganda. His contributions extend beyond the classroom, having supervised and mentored students in their academic progress while also engaging in various curriculum review initiatives.
