Biography

Dr. Charlotte K. Ntulume is a Lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Communication at Makerere University, where she has built a long-standing career in teaching and research in media and communication studies. She was promoted to the rank of Lecturer in 2022, reflecting her academic contribution and commitment to advancing journalism education in Uganda. Her work at the university focuses on training students in journalism, media practice, and communication theory, alongside engaging in scholarly research within the discipline.

Dr. Ntulume holds advanced academic training in media and communication, including postgraduate study at institutions such as the University of Oslo and the London School of Economics, with specialization in areas such as media, conflict, and communication. She has contributed to academic publications on journalism in conflict and post-conflict contexts and has interests spanning print journalism, editing, and research methodology. With decades of professional and academic experience; including earlier engagements in media development and teaching, Dr. Ntulume continues to contribute to scholarship and professional discourse in journalism and communication in Uganda and beyond.
