I have formal training in Social sciences with a Master’s and bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Makerere University, and I am currently enrolled for PhD studies at Makerere University. I’m an Ass. Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Makerere University. I have vast experience working and conducting behavioral and biomedical research in Uganda’s general population and key populations. I previously worked as a Social Scientist Researcher at the Medical Research Council/Uganda Virus Research Institute and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MRC/UVRI and LSHTM Uganda Research Unit). I previously worked as a part-time Ass. Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Population Studies at Kyambogo University (2017-2021). I also worked as an assistant data manager for Global Health Uganda between (2015-2017). I have over 10 years of research experience and have garnered skills in utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research methods while working in different capacities including; Research Assistant, data entrant, field coordinator, field supervisor, associate principal investigator, and principal investigator. I’m well versed with the use of participatory and consultative techniques of data collection and analysis, underpinned in both qualitative and quantitative approaches. I have worked on several research projects with several institutions among these are; The Aids Support Organization (TASO), Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST), Global Health Uganda, Agency for Capacity Building, Teams Initiatives, Uganda Red Cross Society and Makerere University school of public health.
