THE 8TH PAN AFRICA SOCIETY FOR MUSICAL ARTS EDUCATION CONFERENCE

The main aim of the conference is to provide and promote an interdisciplinary forum for scholars investigating inter-cultural issues that impact on the delivery and dispensation of musical arts education including, but not limited to:
 
  • ownership of musical arts in contemporary Africa
  • coping with the changing tastes: prescribed curriculums versus pupils’ ‘own music’
  • cross-cultural influences on musical arts dispensation as expressed in teaching, performing, research, demonstrations, etc
