Makerere University partnered with North Carolina State University (NCSU) in 2006. Since then, many activities such as student and staff exchange, research collaborations have taken place between NCSU departments with individuals in departments at Makerere University. One such initiative was between the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Journalism and Communication, TASO Uganda and NCSU School of Social Sciences on the effect of HIV/AIDS in Uganda.
Two professors from NCSU published a book with researchers in Uganda and will celebrate this achievement with a book launch.
The book about the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Uganda published by the Makerere University Press. Book Editor - Prof. James Tondo-Kiwanuka. To be launched by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe.
