The Center for Health and Migration in Vienna, Austria, and the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, School of Social Sciences, Makerere University, in close cooperation with stakeholders at international, national and sub-national level, have jointly developed a course on Health and Migration. The course focuses on the nexus of health and migration in an interdisciplinary approach and in relation to good migration governance.
Eligible participants
The course targets academic staff, graduate students, policy makers, programme managers, civil society professionals, and health and social care professionals working in communities, cross-border settings and refugee settlements. The course facilitators are experts in migration health with broad experience in migration and health policy development, and have taught in various Universities in Africa and Europe. They bring a wealth of experience in migration health programming across the East and Southern Africa.
Funding
The course is fully funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior.
