We are happy to inform you that the Irish Aid Fellowship programme is in a position to offer officials from institutions represented by the Self-Coordinating Entities the opportunity to apply for study at postgraduate level (Master's or Graduate Diploma) in Ireland or within the Eastern, Central and Southern Africa region for courses commencing September 2015.
We request that you submit a shortlist of 5 applications to Irish Aid from your organisation. Special consideration will particularly be given to applicants working in disadvantaged regions. At least half of the applicants should be women.
Ms Mary Oduka-Ochan will work with your organisation in ensuring that the process runs smoothly and effectively. We will be grateful if each stage of the selection process is documented and forwarded to us, with all the names of the nominated applicants. The fellowships are highly competitive and therefore you are encouraged to select applicants that would score highly on the selection criteria. Applications must reach the Embassy of Ireland by 4.30pm on November 30th 2014.
The Fellowship Training Programme Form (2015) is now available on our website at www.embassyofireland.ug. All applicants should fill in this form. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and the List of Courses for the 2015 Intake are also available on the website. It is most advisable that applicants are familiar with them both before beginning to fill in their application forms.
Furthermore, applicants are required to identify (not to necessarily apply for) a course of their choice before filling in the application forms. Please note that Irish Aid does not facilitate any process to secure a place with Irish universities. It is the applicants' duty to apply directly to the University of their Choice and fulfil all the requirements which, in the case of Irish Institutions, includes an acceptable level of English.
