School of Psychology, FUE enter MoU to improve HR function

On 1st November, 2013, the Department of Educational, Social and Organizational Psychology and the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop corporate relationship aimed at improving the Human Resource function in Uganda. The ceremony was witnessed by the Dr Julius KikoomaVice Chancellor, Prof. John The MAK-FUE MOU signing sessionDdumba-Sentamu, the CHUSS Principal, Prof. Edward K. Kirumira and the Head, Department of of Educational, Organizational and Social Psychology, Assoc. Prof. Julius Kikooma.

As part of this partnership, the Department of Educational, Social and Organizational Psychology carried out a survey leading to the award of the employer of the year 2013.

Other areas for joint collaboration include;

-Conducting research in people management and organizational development

-Working with employers in reviewing the curriculum and management of the internship programme for students of Organizational Psychology

-Writing and publishing a journal on people management and organizational development

-As well as writing joint research proposals and seeking funding for applied research in the areas of HR management and organization development
